I like the idea that summer is a wild frenzy of growth and activity and winter is quiet time. I've been sewing a lot for my shop and knitting a lot, though I don't want to post photos since some things are Christmas gifts. I'm doing my best to keep a cold from turning into a sinus infection and that requires me to slow down even more, which I normally suck at.
It's hard to believe that winter is just starting even though it hasn't been all that cold until this week. I guess it's the short days that make me feel so subdued. Today I slept in until 10am, and by the time I went out to run 2 errands and made it back home, it was 3:15 and only 30 minutes away from the start of sunset.
I hope that all of you out there are getting to rest and recharge this winter. We have some holiday travel planned, maybe our last ever. In the meantime there's knitting and Hulu to catch up on a few months' worth of The Office and Parks & Rec, and a new addiction to streaming Breaking Bad on Netflix, which led to me dreaming the night before last that my friend's husband was secretly addicted to meth (blue biker meth, of course).
