happy thanksgiving!

I miss my family, but it feels wonderful to not be traveling anywhere this Thanksgiving. I got out of work at 3 today and was able to come home and bake a pie with Aaron, then watch a movie. We also made some bread for tomorrow, pizza dough for dinner, and cornbread for the stuffing... yeah.

We have some friends and family not too far away, and a few people are having get-togethers, but we've seen each other so little these past couple months that we both were looking forward to a day to ourselves with nothing planned. Just some food, a football game, and our traditional post-thanksgiving-dinner walk.

Here are a couple photos I took on my lunch break this week. We're definitely in that time of year where, not only does the sun start to set at 3:45, it never seems to fully rise in the first place. It makes for nice light, even if it can be a bit depressing. In the second photo you can see the statue of liberty off in the distance. It looks bigger in person.
